Fall Driving Tips

Mark Sugar's Blog | Fall Driving Tips

After a long hot summer, fall is upon us! It's time to adjust to the leaves changing colors and the colder nights, fall has arrived (even if it is not official yet). With its arrival, we need to readjust our habits of driving. A different climate change means that we, too, need to approach the roads with more caution.

Here are 4 FALLbulous Driving Tips For Fall:

1. Watch for the rain. With fall comes the dreaded or much needed rain. Slow down your driving, as you do not want to hydroplane. Also, make sure your wipers are in proper working order.

2. Shield the sun. Sun glares are notably more noticeable. Be sure to bring your sunglasses while you drive and use your vehicle's visors to protect your vision.

3. Beware of leaves. With falling leaves and rainfall, the roads could become littered with wet leaves. Braking on wet leaves can be slippery, like ice. Try to not swiftly stop on wet leaves.

4. Watch out for deer. Yes, deer are beautiful to look at, but when they are crossing a road or interstate highway, they can be deadly. It is at this time of year they become more active. Keep an eye out for them.

Use these 4 FALLbulous driving tips for fall to keep you safe this season.
